The project »Digital Particles in Natural Space« comprises a room augmented with digital content via AR. This space acts as a reference to the natural world. The walls of the room are covered with signs. Only some of them serve as access to the digital world. With the help of AR, the subject must explore and interpret the walls to appropriate the digital and analog space in a highly individual process. Each sign stands for its own thematic content. The categories for this represent specific aspects of the digital world. (Video)
Within three weeks, as much personal data as possible was requested and gathered on the Internet. The resulting archive served as the basis for every further creation.
The results are a book that is AR-enhanced, posters, installations and a cloth.

Our university magazine offers students the opportunity to create freely by writing their own articles away from the courses. One issue is produced per semester around a set theme. According to constructivism, perceived reality is constructed in the process of cognition by various mechanisms in the brain. Thus, each person creates his or her own subjective construction of reality.
In the project, digital spaces were first created. Various pictorial fragments of »reality« are thrown into these, varying per space. The deformations visualize the subjective mechanisms that influence one's constructions of reality. In each room, a different mechanism is brought into focus. The pictorial fragment serves as the basis for an objective reality. (Video)
The VR project »Illusionäre Räume« deals with the theory of constructivism. According to this, perceived reality is constructed in the process of cognition by various mechanisms in the brain. These mechanisms are influenced by our experience, our knowledge as well as our own physical perceptual possibilities. Thus, each person creates his or her own subjective construction of reality.
In the project, digital spaces were created that will eventually be captured photographically, showing a snapshot of the constructed reality. The creation and exploration of these spaces is documented in the work.
In our everyday life we are permanently lied to. But not (only) by people, but also by the objects we use, in which they feign a different use through their appearance. With an abundance of absurdity, these so-called »lying objects« reflect our consumer behavior and thus also show that humans control this product variance through their consumption.

Pseudo-psychological interpretations and questioning of one's own dreams are taken to extremes here and expanded with private narratives. Combined with surrealistic photographs by artist Brian Vu, the result is a conglomerate of a meta-level that will never be fully comprehensible to us.

We are explorers by nature. With our innate instinct of curiosity, we are constantly fascinated by the search for discoveries, innovations and insights. Today, with its fast pace and egocentricity, acts as a brake on this natural instinct. We have forgotten to question and to really look at things. With a lot of curiosity and creativity we have resisted this process.
